Nansebo is a naturally processed coffee from Ethiopia that delights us with its exceptionally exotic and at the same time very transparent and clear taste. The coffee is reminiscent of summer fruits and impresses with a wonderful interplay of a sweet character and a tingling acidity. The taste of Nansebo is reminiscent of blackberry, strawberry and milk chocolate.

FRUITY AND FLORAL FLAVORS
SOFT COFFEE WITH FRUITY ACIDITY
Nansebo is a sweetish and at the same time fruity coffee, with intense and complex aromas. The fruity notes are reminiscent of ripe summer fruits such as orange and peach. The coffee is underscored by a very elegant floral character, reminiscent of black tea. The Nansebo coffee is roasted medium strength, so it tastes very balanced and surprisingly clear for a Natural.
Nansebo coffee is suitable for all types of filter coffee preparation. We recommend the coffee for preparation with the hand filter, the Chemex or the classic filter coffee machine, such as the Moccamaster.
We roast the Nansebo fresh every week and particularly gently in our roasting plant in Berlin. In the process, our master roasters pay close attention to the moment when the coffee’s sweetness and aroma develop optimally. The roasting profile is individually composed by our roastmasters depending on the nature of the coffees.

Nansebo is a community in the Guji Zone in southern Ethiopia. The region has been one of our insider tips for excellent Ethiopian coffees for a few years now. We have been working with farmers from the region for many years and every year we are amazed by the quality of their coffee.
The Washing Station in Nansebo is located high up and so the cherries here ripen late during harvest time. This makes the cherries very sweet and provides optimal conditions for an exceptional coffee.
The farmers of the cooperatives attach great importance to a careful processing of the cherries. After picking the coffee cherries, the ripe red cherries are separated from unripe cherries by floating in a water bath and then dried on elevated drying beds in the sun for about 3 weeks. Meanwhile, the cherries are regularly turned by hand for uniform drying, and defective cherries are selected by hand. These naturally processed coffees are ideal for fans of filter coffees with fruity and complex flavors and exciting aromas.
