Your Daily Dose of Fruit

Rugali is your daily dose of fruit – with intense notes of tangy currant, white grape, and a hint of chocolate in the finish. This impressive Rwandan natural leaves nothing to be desired.

Rugali Washing Station

Rugali – One of Rwanda's First Washing Stations

This exceptional single origin coffee comes from our partnership with Muraho Trading, an innovative export company run by two Rwandan brothers. For them, it's about more than just excellent coffee: they focus on local farmers, the origin and quality of the beans, and promote the uniqueness of Rwandan coffee around the world. Within a few years, the Rugali washing station has become one of the most influential in the region – thanks to the tireless efforts of 1,150 farmers. The high-quality coffees from this station are harvested and processed by hand and are used in national and international barista competitions. Rugali was also one of the first stations in Rwanda to be legally allowed to export naturally processed coffee – a real milestone for the country.

A Rwandan Natural, Hand-picked

For this Rwandan natural, the hand-picked, ripe coffee cherries are carefully selected and dried in the sun for three weeks, regularly turned and sorted. The combination of warm days and cool nights ensures slow, even drying—and brings out the full intensity of the fruity aromas. Despite the natural processing, this 100 % Arabica coffee is surprisingly clear in the cup and impresses with a complex finish.

Tips for Preparation

We particularly recommend preparing it using a pour-over method, for example with the Hario V60. The Aeropress or a classic coffee machine also bring out the coffee's flavors perfectly.

You'll love this single origin if you appreciate complex sweetness, delicate acidity, and a refined flavor profile.

Sehr guter Kaffee

V60 01 und Aeropress Go mit Commandante MK3. Ich bin voll des Lobes. Sehr guter Kaffee. Ich bin nicht so das Sensorikgenie, dass ich hier die Geschmacksbeschreibung bestätigen oder ergänzen könnte. Schmeckt.
