FRUITY AND EXOTIC FLAVOR NOTE
Chire is a sweet and fruity natural espresso. You can taste ripe berries such as raspberry and strawberry, as well as a floral note of jasmine. This espresso is roasted to a medium strength, so it tastes very balanced and surprisingly clear for a natural coffee.
Tips for preparation
Chires is roasted to suit all espresso preparation methods. We recommend it for preparation with the espresso machine, the stovetop pot or the AeroPress. As it is not very dark roasted, it also works well as a filter coffee variant in the French press. Due to its wonderful fruity note, it is also very suitable as an iced espresso or cold brew.
Medium-strong roas
We roast the Chire fresh and particularly gently every week in our roastery in Berlin. Our roasting masters pay close attention to the moment at which the sweetness and aroma of the coffee unfold optimally. The roasting profile is put together individually by our roasting masters depending on the characteristics of the coffee.

From the south of Ethiopia to your home
Chire is a region in the south of Ethiopia and is known for its excellent Ethiopian coffees. We have been working with farmers from the region for many years and are impressed by the quality of their coffee every year.
The washing station in Chire is located at a very high altitude of 1,950 meters above sea level, which means that the cherries here ripen late during the harvest season. As a result, the cherries are very sweet and provide optimal conditions for an exceptional coffee.
The farm in Chire belongs to our friend Heleanna and her team Moplaco. The team attaches great importance to careful processing of the cherries. After picking, the ripe red coffee cherries are separated from unripe cherries by floating in a water bath and then dried on raised drying beds in the sun for around 3 weeks. During this time, the cherries are regularly turned by hand so that they can dry evenly. Defective cherries are also selected by hand during this process. Chire is a naturally processed coffee and is therefore ideal for fans of fruity and complex coffees.
On our travels, we taste dozens of coffees in cuppings with the aim of selecting the best coffees from the current harvest
No, it never gets boring! We taste and smell our way through countless aromas in very different combinations. We not only want to discover the best coffees in the world, but also get to know the people and their lives who grow them.
