So Your Coffee Can Tell its Whole Story
The LAB Series is the result of targeted research at the “Burr Lab” in Bavaria. At its core is the idea of using precisely calibrated grinder geometries to bring out the unique character of each beanand thus allow the diversity of the coffee world to be experienced in all its nuances.
What Makes the LAB Series Special?
The LAB Series builds on the proven technological foundation of the C40, but branches out to offer maximum specialization. While the materials and mechanics remain identical to the high standards of the classic C40 Nitro Blade, this series introduces specialized burr geometries tailored to different brewing styles for the first time.
- Proven foundation: As with all Comandante grinders, Nitro Rex steel forms the heart of this model. This high-alloy, nitrogen-enriched stainless steel ensures absolute flavor neutrality and extreme durability.
- Maximum precision: The proven QTP techno-polymer, reinforced with quartz nanoparticles, is once again used at the mechanical interfaces to ensure stability and absolute food safety.
The key difference lies in the geometry: While the classic Nitro Blade is designed as an all-rounder, the LAB Series offers specialized tooth structures such as Hammerhead or Tigershark. These specifically alter the force required, the grinding speed, and the particle distribution, tailored to specific requirements ranging from espresso to drip coffee.
A Comparison of the 3 Models: Which One is Right for You?
The Comandante LAB Series offers specialized burr geometries to suit individual preferences: the Nitro Blade as a versatile all-rounder, the Hammerhead for more body and efficiency, or the Tigershark for maximum clarity in light roasts.
