The round, unfolded Original Chemex© coffee filters for the popular coffee maker are made from specially developed Chemex filter paper. To brew coffee, simply fold the filters in half twice. They reliably filter out bitter compounds, ensuring a particularly pure coffee flavor. Each package contains 100 filters.

Why the Paper Makes All the Difference
The unfolded filters are made from high-quality specialty paper and are about 20 to 30% thicker than traditional coffee filters. It is precisely this special, fine-pored structure that makes all the difference during brewing: it reliably traps oils, bitter compounds, and the tiniest particles.
The result in your cup is an incredibly clear, aromatic filter coffee. This truly brings out the subtle flavor nuances – and often even the natural sweetness – of the coffee beans. At the same time, the density of the paper regulates the extraction almost automatically – the water flows through the coffee bed at just the right speed, neither too fast nor too slow.
To ensure that you really do taste only the pure aroma of coffee, the filters are cleaned in an oxygen bath. They are made entirely without the use of bleach and are completely flavor-neutral.
The paper used for the filters comes from certified North American forests (FSC, PEFC, and SFI). After brewing, your coffee routine remains wonderfully simple: Just remove the filter along with the coffee grounds and dispose of both directly in the compost.
